Button! Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

Your button information stays on your device.

Button! is a personal routine app made by Brian Moore. This policy explains how the Button! app handles information.

Data stays on your device.

Button! does not collect, sell, or share data from the app. It does not require an account, run ads, use tracking or analytics services, or send your button information to a server.

Your button name, app selections, schedule, and press history are stored locally on your device so the app can work. Button! may also keep local diagnostic records about scheduling and technical issues. These records are not automatically sent to Brian Moore or any third party.

Screen Time permission

With your permission, Button! uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks to restrict the apps and websites you select. Apple provides the system app picker and manages authorization. Button! does not send your selections, app usage, or browsing activity off your device.

Notifications and motion

If you allow notifications, Button! can tell you when apps lock or unlock. These are local notifications scheduled or delivered on your device. Device motion is used to move the button’s shine; motion readings are not retained or transmitted.

You’re in control.

You can change your button name, app selections, and schedule in Settings. To stop Button! from applying restrictions, turn Enabled off and save. You can manage Screen Time access and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Deleting the app removes its local app data; any device backups are managed by your Apple settings.

If you contact support

If you email brian@brianmoore.com, Brian receives your email address and anything you choose to send. That information is used to respond to your request, not for advertising. You can request deletion of your support correspondence at the same address.

Apple services

Apple handles the App Store, Screen Time authorization, and any device backups or diagnostics you choose to share with Apple. Those services are governed by Apple’s policies and your device settings.

Changes and questions

If the app’s privacy practices change, this policy will be updated with a new effective date. For privacy questions, contact brian@brianmoore.com.
